The Darkness Tales Species - Crescent moon Dragon

For those who know a little bit about the story of The Darkness Tales, this is Arkadioss, the father of the protagonist. This is just the general idea of this dragon species. Arkadioss has some traits and special characteristics that I will show on another drawing specially done for him It would be cool if you could tell the differences when it comes out. I will maybe do a contest or something xD

For the moment, HERE is the first drawing I did for this species, where I drawn Arkadioss instead of a regular Crescent moon dragon.

    The crescent moon dragon, also known as the “Ark-une-Xzhar Ryura” (Dragon of the blade moon) on the dragon language is one of the three kinds of “selenic” dragons. They are referred as such because they were related to three moon phases. The other two are the full moon or “Var-Wiet Ryura” (Dragon of the silver sky) and the new moon or “Bhjar-Kurr Ryura” (Dragon of the obscure night). The main coloration of each selenic dragon, along with its distinctive marks, represent a distinctive moon phase.

    The crescent moon dragons are well known for their magical skills. They are, aside from the titanic dragons, the most powerful spell casters among all the dragon kinds. It is said that they were the first kind to create a bound with the four primal forces, and helped to create the orbs that would later be wielded by the first titanic dragons. Just like the other selenic dragons, the crescent moon dragons wield the most powerful magic source: They have the ability to gather and generate their own magic using pure shibal, one of the four primal forces.

    They also discovered most of the spells and enchanting use shibal as their best source: Shape shifting spells, teleportation, and pure energy projection, but there are rumors that those are just the "common" properties of shibal.

    These dragons have an average physical strength for a dragon of its size. They are agile and fast and depend of these skills to win difficult battles against other magic users. Their powerful wings can stand twice the weight of the dragon and still fly at a considerable speed without the use of magic.

    This kind of dragons evolved especially well thanks to the magic, to the point of his body turning almost humanoid and his mind developing greatly; they even have the ability to speak, like all the titanics. They can move without problems on 2 or 4 paws. But they prefer to remain bipedal when using their magic skills, making more accurate spells.

    Their natural fire breath is moderately strong, but being magic wielders, they possess a variety of magical breaths. They can even use a powerful shibal breath.
